Greensboro, NC - Ten days after Maurice “Mo” Green announced his campaign for NC
Superintendent of Public Instruction, the campaign reported historic initial support from across North Carolina for this position. The campaign raised well over $100,000 in his first 10 days, reflecting an overwhelmingly positive response to his candidacy.

 

“I am humbled by the tremendous support of the people of North Carolina,” said candidate and former Guilford County Schools Superintendent Mo Green. “These initial donations reflect people’s resounding belief that our public schools need our support. People are eager to have someone who’s committed to celebrating what’s working in our public schools, and who will work for the changes that our students and teachers need to ensure success at every level of public education.”

 

In the upcoming months, Green will continue meeting with educators, parents and voters to
learn more about their priorities for North Carolina’s public schools, so that he can become an even better champion for those schools.
